Anthology Architecture and Design Festival 2017

Anthology Architecture and Design Festival 2017 is a three-day celebration of architecture and design to be held on March 31 to April 2, 2017 at the Puerta del Parian in the historic walled city of Intramuros, Manila, Philippines. It will feature a diverse group of over 80 leading international and local architects and designers coming together and sharing their ideas and experiences.

This year's festival theme is "Content and Intent." It will focus on the relationship between architecture and its constantly evolving context, as well as the ideas that help shape and define our built environment and how they are related and presented in our work and practice. The festival will feature keynote lectures, panel dialogues, and a corresponding exhibit among others.

Anthology aims to increase awareness about architecture and design and how it matters in our daily lives, and to function as a venue for the sharing of ideas and experiences.

Beyond the festival, the WTA Architecture + Design Studio also started The Book Stop Project
The project is a pop-up public library network that explores how libraries need to evolve to engage with and attract contemporary users and promote reading in the next generation, as well as galvanize communities by creating community events where people can interact and share ideas with each other. In place of a huge monolithic building with an extensive collection, The Book Stop is a network of mobile spaces spread across the city each with garnering far more foot traffic than the typical library. The project is intended to serve three distinct functions with a social component, a research component, and a program prototype component.
