In future, the key tasks of town planning in Germany will not be new building and the expansion of cities, but primarily the transformation, reuse and supplementation of existing structures. The projects receiving the German Town Planning Award 2008 are model examples of such concepts of urban renewal; at the same time, they document the balance of current urban planning achievements in Germany. |
